I was born and raised in Athens, Texas. I graduated from Athens High School and Trinity Valley Community College. I was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War period. After being honorably discharged I enrolled at Texas A&M in Commerce, married and graduated with a BS in Physics.
I taught High School in west Texas and later at Grayson County Jr. College in Sherman/Denison, Texas. I started purchasing rental properties in 1980 eventually owning 15 rental properties and managing them myself for many years. While working full time I went back to Texas A&M and got a MS in Industry and Technology. I then worked at Texas Instruments in Sherman, Texas and later with Raytheon Missile Systems for a total of 33 years as an Electrical design Engineer - 16 of those years in Tucson, Arizona. Upon retirement in 2015 my wife and I decided to move back to East Texas here in Tyler. We had 1 son and we have 3 grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren living in Ft. Worth and Boulder City, Nevada.
I was in retirement and decided to get my Real Estate License. I don’t mind working after hours, weekends or holidays if that is what it takes to find that home or property that my clients are wanting to buy or rent.
